- I am trying to decide between the Motorola Power and USR Courier
- modems. The thing that the Power has over the Lifestyle or Sportster
- is Flash ROM that lets you update the modem via a download, rather
- than popping a chip out.
-
- One thing I haven't been able to find out is if the Power series
- updates the datapump code or not (anyone?). The Motorola web page
- mentions a confusing sentence that makes me think it cannot update the
- datapump. So for example, they will not be able to upgrade to 33.6 via
- a download like the Courier is capable of. If anyone knows if I am
- reading this right (or wrong), I'ld love to hear from you.
-
- Basically, if can't decide whether I want to spend the money on a
- Courier. It seems to be the concensus choice at that price range.
